1. Who we are

Clapd ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that helps you craft AI-powered replies, reaction GIFs, and clap-backs. Our website is clapd.app and you can reach us at support@clapd.app.

2. What data we collect

• Account information: Your email address and name when you sign up.
• Usage data: Features you use, claps generated, and session activity to improve the app.
• Payment information: Depending on how you subscribe, your payment is handled by Stripe (web), Apple (iOS in-app purchases), or Google Play (Android in-app purchases). We never see or store your full card details in any case.
• Content you enter: Text you paste into the app to generate replies, and images you upload for meme replies. This is sent to our AI provider to generate a response, and — for GIF replies — relevant search terms are sent to GIPHY to find a matching GIF. Your raw input is not stored long-term; only the generated replies you save are kept, in your History and Go-Tos.

• Clerk — authentication and account management (privacy policy)
• Supabase — database and storage infrastructure (privacy policy)
• Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions (privacy policy)
• Apple — payment processing and subscription management for App Store purchases (privacy policy)
• Google Play — payment processing and subscription management for Google Play purchases (privacy policy)
• Anthropic — AI reply generation (Claude) (privacy policy)
• GIPHY — GIF search and suggestions (privacy policy)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed immediately and permanently from our systems. To delete your account, visit our Delete Account page for instructions.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, email us at support@clapd.app.

7. Children's privacy

Clapd is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Clapd after changes means you accept the updated policy.
